New Zealand vs Bangladesh, 2021 – 3rd T20I, Preview: Best Betting Odds and Winner Prediction

Match Details

The 3rd T20I between New Zealand and Bangladesh will be played at the Eden Park in Auckland on 1st April 2021. The match will start at 11:30 AM IST.

Preview

Loss after loss, it has been a miserable tour for the Asian visitors. The hosts have completely dominated Bangladesh, something we can expect them to do in the next game as well. Bangladesh’s batting has been really poor as none of the batsmen have lived up to the expectations. Soumya Sarkar batted well in the last game but overall, they’ve been very inconsistent. For the hosts, every game, they’ve seen new players rise to the occasion. If it was Conway and Young in the first game, Glenn Phillips was the star of the second T20I. The quality in their bowling department was never in question. Going in to the third T20I, Bangladesh will look to end the tour on a high but New Zealand, at the moment, looks too strong.

Pitch Report

Auckland has traditionally been a high scoring ground. The surface is pretty flat and the short square boundaries makes it one of the best venues to bat. The bowlers, however, will get some bounce to work with.

Probable Playing XIs

New Zealand

Predicted XI: Martin Guptill, Finn Allen, Devon Conway (wk), Will Young, Glenn Phillips, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, Tim Southee (c), Adam Milne, Ish Sodhi/Todd Astle, Hamish Bennett

Bangladesh

Predicted XI: Mohammad Naim, Liton Das (wk), Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah (c), Afif Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Nasum Ahmed , Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed

Probable Top Performers

Devon Conway – It’s been a dream start for Devon Conway in international cricket. The southpaw had a rare failure in the 2nd T20I but the kind of form he’s in, there is a high possibility of him scoring big in the 3rd T20I.

Daryl Mitchell – Daryl Mitchell is another player to keep a keen eye on. He’s also coming back from some hefty performances in the last couple of months and a century in the final ODI must have boosted his confidence. He stroked a quickfire 34* off 16 balls in the 2nd T20I and can be backed to come good in the next game as well.

Soumya Sarkar – Sarkar scored a scintillating 50 in the previous game and kept Bangladesh in the hunt. However, the pressure got the better of the southpaw who was dismissed for 51 in an attempt to score quick runs. With a 50 behind him, we can expect him to play well in the 3rd T20I

Our Betting Tips

Not a lot was expected of Bangladesh on this tour and the hosts have not given them any opportunity to pull off an upset. The visitors are down on confidence and with a bleak bowling attack, it’s a massive ask from them to stop this Kiwi juggernaut. The online cricket betting odds are also in favor of New Zealand.

Predicted Winners

New Zealand is expected to win the match.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh, 2021 – 2nd T20I, Preview: Best Betting Odds and Winner Prediction

Match Details

The second game of the three-match T20I series between New Zealand and Bangladesh will be played at the McLean Park Stadium in Napier on 30th March 2021. The match will start at 11:30 AM IST.

Preview

After clean sweeping Bangladesh 3-0 in the ODI series, New Zealand continued their winning streak as they crushed the visitors by 66 runs in the first T20I of the three-match series. Having won the toss at a batting-friendly track, an aggressive, unbeaten knock of 92 from only 52 balls from Devon Conway alongside a quick half-century from Will Young on debut (52 from 30) led the hosts to a massive 210/4 from their 20 overs.

The visitors’ batting unit failed to handle Ish Sodhi, who bagged four wickets giving away just 28 runs from his four overs. Bangladesh, in the absence of Tamim Iqbal, Shakib al Hasan, and Mushfiqur Rahim, crumbled completely during the chase and keeping aside the effort from Afif Hossain (45 from 33) and Mohammad Saifuddin (34 from 34) towards the end, nothing went their way with the bat. The Tigers are yet to win a single game in this part of the world and they will have to turn things around quickly if they want to change their dismal record.

Pitch Report

The ground dimensions in New Zealand often make things difficult for the bowlers. After a batting-friendly track in the first T20I, another hard surface with plenty in for the batsmen can be expected at McLean Park, Napier.

Probable Playing XIs

New Zealand

Predicted XI: Martin Guptill, Finn Allen, Glenn Phillips (WK), Will Young, Devon Conway, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, Tim Southee (C), Lockie Ferguson, Hamish Benett, Ish Sodhi

Bangladesh

Predicted XI: Mohammad Naim, Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mohammad Mithun, Mushfiqur Rahim (WK), Mahmudullah, Afif Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Shoriful Islam, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman

Probable Top Performers

Devon Conway

Devon Conway has been shining ever since he has arrived on the international scene. He ended up as the leading run-scorer in the recent ODI series against Bangladesh (275 runs from three innings at an incredible average of 75) and he continued his touch in the T20Is as well, scoring an unbeaten 92 from just 53 balls in the previous game to win the Player of the Match award.

Nasum Ahmed

Debutant Nasum Ahmed managed to return with notable figures of 2/30 from his spell of fours overs on debut. More notably, he was the only bowler who was able to control the flow of runs as New Zealand finished with 210 on the board, scoring more than 10 runs every over. After a promising debut, Ahmed is expected to build upon it in the series.

Our Betting Tips

New Zealand have been the firm favorites ever since the start of the series, and the visitors have done nothing for that impression to change. They were unable to leave a mark with both bat and ball and the Kiwis did not face any trouble in getting a 1-0 lead in the series. The online cricket betting odds are also in favor of New Zealand.

Predicted Winners

New Zealand is expected to win the match.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh, 2021 – 1st T20I, Preview: Best Betting Odds and Winner Prediction

Match Details

After a comprehensive win in the ODI series, New Zealand will look to continue their juggernaut in the T20Is as well. The series will kick off on 28th March at Seddon Park, Hamilton at 2:00 PM local time (6:30 AM IST)

Preview

After a miserable performance in the ODI series, Bangladesh would look to salvage their pride in the T20Is. However, the road ahead won’t be easy. They’ll be without the services of Tamim Iqbal, their best T20I batsmen, who’s pulled out of the series due to personal reasons. Also, the form of their batsmen will be a cause of concern. Bangladesh failed to cross the 200 run mark in 2 of the 3 ODIs. Their stats in New Zealand are not very promising either. Bangladesh have played 4 T20Is in the country and have lost all of them. They also lack a genuine wicket taker in their team. To be fair, their chances in the T20I series looks as grim as they were in the ODI series.

Coming to the hosts, they’ve got some new faces in the T20 squad. Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell scored centuries in the final ODI which will be a massive moral booster ahead of the T20I series. Martin Guptill and Glenn Phillips have also been in some fine form. Finn Allen had a scintillating run in the Super Smash and will be a player to watch out for if given an opportunity. Hamish Bennett, Kyle Jamieson, Tim Southee forms a lethal pace attack.

Pitch Report

The match will be played at the Seddon Park, Hamilton. The surface is expected to be a decent batting wicket. However, there might be some extra bounce in the wicket to aid the pacers.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh Predicted Playing XIs

New Zealand:

Probable XI: Martin Guptill, Finn Allen, Devon Conway, Will Young, Glenn Philipps ( wk), Daryl Mitchell, Todd Astle, Tim Southee(C), Hamish Bennett, Kyle Jamieson

Bangladesh:

Probable XI: Mohammad Naim, Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah, Hasan Mahmud, Mehidy Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain

Probable Top Performers

Devon Conway – Devon Conway has been in some form. He was outstanding in the Super Smash, where he was the second leading run scorer of the tournament, had a decent T20I series against Australia and also scored his maiden century in just his 3rd ODI. He’ll be a player to watch out for.

Daryl Mitchell –  Daryl Mitchell too fetched his maiden hundred in the 3rd ODI against Bangladesh. He had a scintillating run in the Super Smash, both with the bat and ball, and will be very handy for the Kiwis.

Martin Guptill – Guptill was in sizzling form in the T20I series against Australia. Even though he didn’t score big against Bangladesh, he was striking the ball well. He is another player we can expect to come good in the T20I series.

Our Betting Tips

New Zealand were dominant in the ODI series and the kind of form their players are in, they’re hot favourites to win the T20I series as well. For Bangladesh, the form of their batsmen will be a cause of concern. Also, they don’t seem to have wicket taking bowling options. Overall, things are not looking very promising for them.

Predicted Winners

New Zealand are expected to win this game.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh, 2021 – 3rd ODI, Preview: Best Betting Odds and Winner Prediction

Match Details

New Zealand will aim for a clean sweep when they take on Bangladesh in the final match of the ODI series. The match will be played at the Basin Reserve, Wellington and will get underway at 11:00 AM local time (3:30 AM IST)

Preview

Bangladesh were far better in the second ODI, still, they were not good enough to beat New Zealand. Despite posting a challenging 271 and getting rid of the top order for not much, Bangladesh couldn’t get the result in their favour. Bangladesh’s main concern will be an average bowling attack. They don’t seem to have a single bowler who can rip through a batting order.

Tamim Iqbal and Mohammad Mithun stroked half centuries, while Soumya Sarkar and Mushfiqur Rahim got solid starts. However, none of the batsmen went on to get a big hundred. As a result, they had to settle for a par 271. The kind of bowling attack they have, they’ll need at least 30-40 runs more than the par score. For that, someone from the top order needs to get a big hundred.

Coming to New Zealand, they were reeling at 53-3 but a composed century from Tom Latham helped them sail through a victory. Devon Conway too batted well. The Kiwi’s have plenty of depth in their batting and would back themselves to get a big score on most occasions against this attack.

Pitch Report

The match will be played at the Basin Reserve, Wellington. The surface is expected to offer a decent batting track. However, there will be some movement on offer with the new ball. Spinners might also come in to play in the second half of the innings.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh Predicted Playing XIs

New Zealand:

Probable XI: Martin Guptill, Henry Nicholls, Devon Conway, Will Young, Tom Latham (c & wk), James Neesham, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, Trent Boult

Bangladesh:

Probable XI: Al-Amin Hossain, Mosaddek Hossain, Nasum Ahmed , Najmul Hossain Shanto, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Naim, Shoriful Islam, Rubel Hossain, Hasan Mahmud

Probable Top Performers

Martin Guptill – Guptill has been in fine form of late. Yes, he did fail to make a mark in the previous ODI but we’ll back him to come good in the next game. He’s a clean striker of the ball and on his day can be very hard to stop. The surface in Wellington is expected to be good for batting and Guptill will fancy his chances against a bleak bowling attack.

Devon Conway – Devon Conway has been in some form. He was outstanding in the Super Smash, where he was the second leading run scorer of the tournament, batted well in the T20I series against Australia, and now stroked a brilliant half century in just his second ODI. He too is expected to perform well for New Zealand

Tamim Iqbal –  After missing out in the 1st match, Tamim played a solid hand of 78 in the 2nd game. He’s one player can play big innings and Bangladesh desperately need him to step up in the final ODI if they want to salvage their pride.

Our Betting Tips

New Zealand at home has been on a rampage, winning all their last 8 ODIs. They are not playing their full strength squad, yet, they’ve been too hot to handle for Bangladesh. The kind of bowling attack Bangladesh have, they’ll find it very hard to stop the Kiwi juggernaut. The online cricket betting odds are also in favour of the hosts.

Predicted Winners

New Zealand are expected to win this game.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh, 2021 – 2nd ODI, Preview: Best Betting Odds and Winner Prediction

Match Details

New Zealand will look to take an unassailable lead when they take on Bangladesh in the 2nd ODI of the 3 game series. The match will be played at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch and will get underway at 2:00 PM local time (6:30 AM IST)

Preview

Bangladesh were annihilated in the 1st ODI as neither the batsmen, nor their bowlers showed any spine to resist the Kiwi force and lost the game by 8 wickets, inside 22 overs . Things don’t seem to look promising for the next game as well. Trent Boult was too hot to handle for the Bangladesh. He along with Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson won’t allow any breathers to the visitors. The next game will be played at Christchurch, a surface that tends to offer a lot more to the pacers and under overcast conditions, things won’t be easy for the visitors. Even if they manage to post a decent score on the board, which will be very difficult though, they don’t seem to have a bowler that can restrict the Kiwi batsmen. Overall, it’ll be a massive, massive upset if Bangladesh can pip New Zealand, a teams that has a 14-0 record over Bangladesh at home.

Pitch Report

The match will be played at the Hagley Oval, Christchurch. The surface is expected to offer plenty of assistance to the pacers, especially with the new ball, and may get better as the match progresses.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh Predicted Playing XIs

New Zealand:

Probable XI: Martin Guptill, Henry Nicholls, Devon Conway, Will Young, Tom Latham (c & wk), James Neesham, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Kyle Jamieson, Matt Henry, Trent Boult

Bangladesh:

Probable XI: Tamim Iqbal (c), Liton Das, Soumya Sarkar, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mohammad Mithun, Mahmudullah, Mehidy Hasan, Mahedi Hasan, Taskin Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud, Mustafizur Rahman

Probable Top Performers

Martin Guptill – After a string of poor performances, Guptill is back to his brutal best. He had a brilliant T20I series against Australia and followed it up with a brisk knock in the 1st ODI against Bangladesh. The way he’s striking the ball, a big knock seem just around the corner.

Devon Conway – Devon Conway couldn’t make a mark in his debut match but he has been in terrific touch of late. When in full flow, he can be impossible to stop and we have seen that in the 1st T20I against Australia where he stroked a 99 of 59 balls.

Tamim Iqbal – Tamim Iqbal was Bangladesh’s best batsmen against West Indies and scored 158 runs in 3 games at an average of over 50. If there’s one batsmen that can help Bangladesh overcome the scars of the 1st game, it has to be Tamim. The southpaw likes to dominate the game and if he stays at the wicket for a while, he’ll fetch plenty of runs for his team.

Our Betting Tips

New Zealand at home has been on a rampage, winning all their last 7 ODIs. Bangladesh, on the other hand, have a poor record in New Zealand and have lost all their 14 matches. Against the likes of Trent Boult, Matt Henry and Kyle Jamieson, it won’t be easy for the Bangladesh batsmen. The online cricket betting odds are also in favour of the hosts.

Predicted Winners

New Zealand are expected to win this game.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh, 2021 – 1st ODI, Preview: Best Betting Odds and Winner Prediction

Match Details

New Zealand will take on Bangladesh in the 1st of the 3 match ODI series on Saturday. The match will be played at the University Oval, Dunedin and will get underway at 11:00 AM local time (3:30 AM IST)

 Preview

Bangladesh Coach, Russell Domingo is confident of winning the series in New Zealand, but one would like to believe that he’s being too optimistic. The stats reflect the same. Bangladesh have played 13 matches against New Zealand in New Zealand  and have lost all of them. Talking about New Zealand, they’ve not lost a game at home since their defeat to India in 2019. Post that, they’ve played 6 games and won all of them. They clean swept Sri Lanka and India in their last two series at home.

Williamson is not part of the series while Ross Taylor will miss out the 1st ODI due to injury. This means that Kiwi’s will go in the match with a fairly inexperienced batting order. But even then, Bangladesh’s bowling doesn’t look to threaten them. Also, against the likes of Trent Boult, Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson, Bangladesh batsmen will be in for a hard time.

Pitch Report

The surface should be a good wicket to bat but the new ball might offer some movement to the pacers. Also, the surface tends to get slower as the match progresses, bringing spinners in to play.

New Zealand vs Bangladesh Predicted Playing XIs

New Zealand:

Probable XI: Martin Guptill, Henry Nicholls, Devon Conway, Tom Latham (c & wk), Will Young, James Neesham, Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Kyle Jamieson.

Probable Top Performers

Martin Guptill – Martin Guptill was in top form in the recently concluded T20I series against Australia. He scored 218 runs at an average of 43 and a strike rate of around 160. Though the format was different, the series must have induced a lot of confidence in Guptill. In the absence of Williamson, he’s their most experienced player and will be keen to get off to a good start.

Devon Conway – Devon Conway is set to make his ODI debut in the 1st match. He’s been in red hot form of late. After a successful season of the Super Smash, he had a fantastic series against Australia. We’ll back him to carry on his form in 50 over format as well.

Tamim Iqbal – Tamim Iqbal was Bangladesh’s best batsmen against West Indies and scored 158 runs in 3 games at an average of over 50. He’s a class batsman and will be eager to perform well.
