India Women will have the last chance on Thursday to avoid going back with empty pockets. The team has churned out poor performances as they are lagging behind by 4-0. The fourth One Day International between New Zealand Women and India Women was again one-sided as the host comfortably recorded a win by 63 runs.
Batting first in the match, New Zealand added 191 runs as Amelia Kerr smashed 68 runs. Chasing the total, India could score only 128 runs. Richa Ghosh was the top batter with 52 runs from 29 balls.
For New Zealand, Hayley Jansen and Amelia Kerr caused the most carnage with the ball as they picked three wickets each. The Kiwis will be now eyeing a series whitewash. A victory by 5-0 will give them a lot of confidence ahead of the Women’s World Cup, scheduled in March.
India, on the other hand, need to solve their batting crisis to gain success. The Blackcaps Women are the favorites to win the fifth ODI.
The young batter Richa Ghosh played an iconic knock in the fourth One Day International as she hammered 52 runs off just 29 balls. Despite the heroics by the 18-year-old, India failed to win the game due to a lack of support from other players.
Amelia Kerr has been making the headlines for all the right reasons in the ODI series. The middle-order batter is leading the run-scoring charts for the hosts. In the previous game also, Kerr produced a brilliant batting performance. She smacked 68 runs off 33 balls to help her team by a decent 63 runs.

New Zealand Women are done and dusted with the five-match ODI series. The host won the first One Day International by 62 runs while cruised to a three-wicket victory in the second game.
The third game saw a tough fight between New Zealand Women and India Women. Despite good efforts by India, it was New Zealand Women who had the last laugh. Put to bat first, India posted a good score of 279 runs on the scoreboard.
Sabbhineni Meghana and Deepti Sharma were the wrecker-in-chief for the visitors with 61 and 69 runs respectively. Chasing the total, New Zealand Women were put in a tough spot as Jhulan Goswami picked up a three-wicket haul.
However, an ordinary bowling effort by the visiting team in the death overs paved the way for the Kiwis. Amelia Kerr and Lauren Down scripted victory for their team as they scored 67 and 64 runs respectively.
As the New Zealand batters are in a much better form as compared to the Indian batters, we predict a victory for the host on Tuesday. They are the favorites to take a lead of 4-0 and continue their domination over Women in Blue.
India is having a torrid ride in the ODI series. However, skipper Mithali Raj has been successful in making her presence felt with the bat. The Indian star is the highest run-getter for India with 148 runs in three innings at an average of 74.00. She is again expected to play a good knock as India will be fighting to avoid a whitewash.
Amelia Kerr is leading the run-scoring charts for New Zealand Women. The right-hander has so far smashed 219 runs at a stunning average of 109.50. Kerr is the only one to smash a century in the five-match ODI series. The batter is again expected to weave her magic on the 22-yard pitch to take the hosts to another victory.

India Women looked ordinary in both the first and second One Day International and thus they are lagging behind by 0-2. In the first game, the host New Zealand defended 275 runs in 50 overs to secure a win by 62 runs.
They continued the momentum in the second match as well. India looked decent with the bat as they added 270 runs while batting first. However, the bowlers couldn’t do their part well and the host won in 49 overs. Deepti Sharma was the only bowler to do good as she picked four wickets.
Though we can’t rule India Women out of the series, the Blackcaps have greater chances of winning the Friday match and the series. The batters have been doing a fine job for New Zealand Women and they will hope to bank on the same on Friday.
The only positive thing for India in the series so far has been the good form of skipper Mithali Raj She scored 59 runs in the first match and followed it up with a knock of 66 in the second game. Raj will again have to lead with an example to save the team.
Amelia Kerr will be high on confidence after slamming a century in the second One Day International. Kerr scored 119 runs off 135 balls with the help of seven boundaries. She is also the top run-getter for New Zealand currently.

Following a victory in the only T20 International, New Zealand cruised to a scintillating 62-run victory in the first One Day International as well. The first ODI was all about Suzie Bates as she delivered a hair-raising performance.
The opening batter smashed a century to help her team score a total of 275 runs in their allotted 50 over, Bates’ knock was laced with ten boundaries at a strike rate of 95.5. Chasing the total, India could score only 213 runs. Skipper Mithali Raj was the only one to play responsibly as she added 59 runs.
The first ODI again highlighted India’s batting crisis. The Women in Blue need to improve their performance with the willow at the earliest as the World Cup is also approaching.Owing to their brilliant form in the series so far, New Zealand have greater chances of winning the second ODI.

India Women and New Zealand Women have strong squads at their disposal. The two teams are likely to give it their all to win the series. The host New Zealand will have momentum on their side as they hammered India in the only T20I game by 18 runs. It was an all-round performance by the team as both the batters and bowlers lived up to their reputation.
The Kiwis will hope to play the ODIs with the same spirit to continue their stellar record against India. Also, the team is unlikely to any changes in their playing XI as they will be looking forward to playing with the winning combination.
India Women, on the other hand, are likely to make a couple of changes in the playing XI. Smriti Mandhana gave the T20I match a miss and is likely to be back for the One Day Internationals. Also, the skipper Mithali Raj doesn’t play the shortest format.
Looking at the squad composition and the players, we predict New Zealand Women to win the first ODI against India Women.
We predict skipper Mithalo Raj to top score for India against New Zealand in the One Day International. Raj wasn’t a part of the T20I setup. She will be desperate to score some good runs and help her team get to a good start in the ODI series.
The opening batter Suzie Bates was the top batter for New Zealand in the T20I match. She scored 36 runs off 34 runs to help the team post 155 runs on the scoreboard. Bates is again expected to make heads turn with her performance in the first ODI.

India Women and New Zealand Women are expected to produce a riveting cricket battle as they will play against each other in the only T20I match. The players from both sides can be a little rusty as they haven’t featured in an international game for quite some time.
New Zealand were last up against England in a five-match ODI series. The away series was New Zealand winning just one match and losing the series by 4-1. Their last loss in the shortest format of the game also came against England by 2-1.
India Women, on the other hand, last played against Australia in a three-match T20I series. The first T20 International was washed out while the Women in Blue lost the last two games and the series by 2-0.
Though both the teams will be low on confidence, New Zealand Women have greater chances of winning the contest. India are yet to secure a victory in the shortest format of the game on New Zealand soil. They last toured the Kiwi nation in 2019 for a three-match T20I series. All three matches of the tour were won by New Zealand.
Smriti Mandhana is likely to be the top scorer for India. The veteran was in an exceptional form when India last toured New Zealand. Smriti smacked 180 runs at an average of 60 including two half-centuries.
For the host, Suzie Bates is expected to lead the attack. She was the top scorer in the just-concluded Women’s Super Smash. Bates will hope to continue the momentum and confidence against India as well/
