Hardik Pandya going back to the Mumbai Indians was one of the biggest trades that ever happened in the history of the Indian Premier League. The all-rounder led the Gujarat Titans for two seasons and also won the 2022 edition with them. In 2023, he led the team to the final.

However, he is no longer part of the GT. He has been traded to MI, while Gujarat has named Shubman Gill as their captain. But Hardik’s absence will surely be missed because he was a key contributor with the bat and the ball. Hence, GT needs to find the right replacement for Hardik who can help the team in both departments.

Three all-rounders that Gujarat Titans can try as Hardik Pandya’s replacement for IPL 2024

3. Azmatullah Omarzai

The Gujarat Titans already have Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad in their team, and there are chances that they can add another Afghan star for the coming season. All-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai will be part of the auction, and a few franchises will be eyeing him. He is a stroke player who also bowls with pace. He had an incredible World Cup 2023, and he can be ideal to replace Hardik Pandya.

2. David Wiese

South African-born Namibian all-rounder David Wiese will also be part of the auction, and he is pretty decent with both the bat and the ball. Wiese is a renowned name in franchise cricket and has played across the world. He is a bankable bowler who can also come down the order and hit some sixes. Hence, GT can also try him for Hardik in IPL 2024.

1. Jason Holder

GT has another good option in Jason Holder. The franchise needs a better replacement who can add value in both departments. And if we look at the available options, Holder can be the best replacement, being a fast-bowling all-rounder. He is a proven candidate and has a good record at the IPL level as well.
