The Marquee players have already registered for the BBL 2022 draught, which is less than a month away. Due to South Africa’s surprising withdrawal from the ODI series, the Australian white ball regulars will be able to play the entire season for their teams.

The red ball regulars, who were unable to play in the league last season owing to the bubble rules, will also be permitted to do so this year as the Sydney test will be over by January 8.

BBL 2022-23: A few big names highlighting the draft are:

The BBL is holding its first international draft this season, and many notable players have committed to it. Some of them are as follows:

1. Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan, an Afghani leg-spinner, is a star in the world of franchise cricket. The Afghan leg-spinner has won fans throughout the globe by playing franchise cricket on a regular basis. Rashid established himself in the BBL by recording his best T20 stats, 6-17, while playing for Adelaide Strikers the previous year. As the Strikers’ head coach has stated, they will do anything to keep him, it is likely that he will rejoin his former squad.

2. Kieron Pollard

Recently, international cricketer Kieron Pollard declared his retirement. This year’s IPL was disappointing for him. However, he has returned as he registered for the BBL international draft. This will not be Pollard’s first appearance in the BBL. The 6’4″ big hitter has previously played for the Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers. Pollard’s last game was during the 2017–18 season. Although he won’t be eligible for retention, the teams will be keen to select him.

3. Dwayne Bravo

The West Indian all-rounder has been a standout performer for all the franchises he has played for. After a few years of gap, Bravo has signed up for the draft. He last appeared in the 2018-19 season, therefore, will not be up for the retentions like his mate Pollard. Bravo has represented both the Melbourne colours as well as the Sixers. The former South Africa captain has also signed up for the BBL draft. Faf has played only one match in the Big Bash League, and that too in 2012. He has played for Melbourne Renegade under the captaincy of Aaron Finch. Recently, Melbourne Stars have dropped a hint about picking him up to represent them in the 12h season of BBL.
