“Having international players and coaches is also certainly going to provide a good product. It is going to improve the young guys coming through. I have no doubt it’s going to be the same here and everyone is looking forward to it. The standard will be very high. With everything being televised, it’s a great opportunity for the guys to put their name out there, whether it be for international cricket or other leagues around the world,” he said.
All the games of the SA20 league will be live broadcasted on SuperSport and Viacom18 Sports. Moreover, Graeme Smith the League Commissioner on the occasion of the ticket sales had addressed that the league will be an interesting one with various big names participating in the competition. Over the one-month duration of the competition, there will be at least one game daily. In addition to that, 8 double headers are also on the cards.
“The momentum is building. We have worked closely with the franchise teams to develop competitive ticket pricing where the public can attend more than one match. We invite lovers of cricket, and those looking for a social day out with friends and families to all join us in January and February for a taste of SA20. It is going to be memorable,” Smith said.
