“Sky have been fantastic partners for cricket for over 30 years. Their broadcast coverage is rightly lauded as the best in the world, but more significantly than that we have a shared commitment to growing the sport and investing in more opportunities, not only for people to watch and follow cricket in all its forms, but also to pick up a bat and ball.”

He continues and added that ECB is thankful to Sky Sports and another support partner. The board has recorded that 14 million people are playing, attending, or following cricket in 2021. In 2022, 10,000 children had an opportunity to have a taste of cricket through Sky Dynamos Intros. And in the future, many more children will enjoy the benefits of new facilities and opportunities to play.

Clare Connor mentioned that this is happening only because of the investment of Sky Sports. Both the board and broadcasters have focused both on first-class cricket, men’s game, and as well as women’s game. Their main vision is to spread cricket sports to more people in the future. Stephen van Rooyen, Sky Sports’ EVP, and CEO of UK mentioned that it was an exciting cycle to work with ECB.

And they are looking forward to the upcoming years. They will push the boundaries in their BAFTA-winning coverage. And by the year 2025, they are hoping that they will be attracting more viewers for the live actions. He also said that Sky Sports’ investment of 30 years has worked very well as they are hoping that it will continue for more years.
