The Men in Green Pakistan cricket team is almost out of the T20 World Cup 2024 before even the Babar Azam led Pakistan team could take the field vs Ireland, their last match in the T20 World Cup 2024 group stage to be played on 16th June in Lauderhill, Florida.

Pakistan cricket team finds itself only on 3rd place in Group A of the T20 World Cup being played in the USA and West Indies. Pakistan is below India and USA in the points after they lost their matches against both the teams. Only the top 2 teams will eventually qualify from all four group.

Pakistan beat Canada in their most recent match but need to win their match vs Ireland and then hope that either of India or USA lose their remaining both matches. However, this might not be the case at all as Pakistan could be eliminated even before they Ireland.

This is all because the expected weather condition in Lauderhill, Florida. Due to deep Ocean Moisture, Lauderhill, Florida, one of the venue for the T20 World Cup 2024, will heavy rain throughout the weekend, thus washing out all of the matches to be played at this venue in the coming days.

As of writing this, the most recent match scheduled here between two Asian countries Sri Lanka and Nepal has been already washed-out without toss. Same weather condition is expected throughout the week and maybe next week as well.

What this means, the upcoming matches at this venue this week, USA vs Ireland, India vs Canada and Pakistan vs Ireland have been low chances of being played. In case all these matches gets washed out due to rain, Pakistan will not have any chance of making it to the Super 8s of the T20 World Cup 2024 as India and USA will get 1 point each from their matches vs Ireland. The losing team from the USA vs India match will have 5 points anyway and Pakistan would reach only 3 points if all the above mentioned matches are washed out.

Meanwhile, as of writing this, India and USA playing their most awaited match at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. USA team is batting first after India captain Rohit Sharma asked the USA team to bat first. The team that wins the match will become the first team to qualify from Group A.
