IND vs ENG: India are currently ranked No. 1 in the T20I team rankings. One of the prime reasons behind that is that the IPL has provided various young talents that are performing consistently. The Men in Blue also won the first match against England at the Rose Bowl. They are also coming off a 2-0 series win over Ireland and a 2-2 scoreline against South Africa at home. The main reason for these performances for India is the veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. If you are searching for the best betting sites in India, you are in the ideal place!

Bhuvi won the “Man of the Series” award against South Africa at home and also bowled really well against Ireland. He did an amazing job against England, taking the wicket of English skipper Jos Buttler off a peach of a delivery. He didn’t let the English top-order settle down. All these performances make his chances of being in the upcoming T20 World Cup squad better.

Former Indian test opener, Wasim Jaffer, feels that the veteran pacer will be a certainty in the 2022 World Cup squad for the upcoming ICC event. Bhuvneshwar bowled an economic spell against England. In three overs, he gave away just 10 runs at 3.33 with one wicket of Buttler. He swung the ball both ways and didn’t let the batters settle. In a discussion on Royalchallengersbangalore.com, Jaffer said that a bowler who can swing the ball both ways will make the batters struggle in international cricket.

He stated that there are not many bowlers currently who can swing the ball both ways, but Bhuvi is definitely doing that. Jaffer added that he believes his performance will help him be part of the upcoming World Cup squad. He said,

“He’s (Bhuvi) been getting it right since he has come back to the side and it was great to see him producing a good performance against a quality batting line-up. I don’t see any doubt in my mind that he’s going to be in the World Cup squad. He’s an absolute certainty.”

However, former English spinner Ashley Giles also lauded the veteran pacer for his ability to swing the ball. He said that he is not sure whether in Australia the ball will swing or not, but if anyone can swing it, it will be Bhuvi. The former spinner reckons that the veteran pacer has already booked a seat for the World Cup. Looking for the best betting apps in India?
