IND vs NZ: Fans made a King Size poster of Virat Kohli ahead of the second ODI in Raipur
Even in Raipur, fans welcomed Virat Kohli in a totally different way. A Virat poster has taken the internet by storm, and some fans have painted a complete wall under a subway with the image of the former Indian skipper. The painting shows Virat’s celebration after scoring a century. One Twitter user shared the picture with the caption, “Kohli has the streets, King of World Cricket.” Fans would love to see Virat score a century in the second ODI against New Zealand in Ranchi and recreate that image with his celebration.
The former Indian skipper couldn’t make much of a contribution in the first ODI. He got dismissed on a peach of a delivery from Mitchell Santner, which turned from the middle stump to hit the off stump. He only scored 8 runs off 10 balls, with one boundary. However, Virat was the “Man of the Series” against Sri Lanka earlier, where he scored 283 runs in three innings at an average of 141.50. He also scored two centuries, including an unbeaten 166 in the third and final ODI on Sunday.
With his exploits against Sri Lanka, he moved up to the 4th spot in the ODI rankings with 750 points. The Pakistani skipper, Babar Azam, is at the top. Meanwhile, with the 2023 ODI World Cup to be played in India, Virat’s form will be a big confidence booster for the team. His numbers are just incredible in ODIs, and that is his forte.
