IND vs NZ: Ishan Kishan Creating a Deja VU Situation for Tom Latham – Watch
The dismissal of Hardik sparked a debate on social media, and it was clear in the reply that the ball was missing the stumps. However, the same kind of incident took place in the second inning as well, when Ishan Kishan created the same kind of situation with Tom Latham. It happened in the 16th over of the second inning when Kishan tried to have fun behind the wicket. He dislodged the bails so that Latham could believe that he had hit the wickets with his bat and was out hit-wicket.
However, the reply showed that it was done by Ishan. The wicketkeeper appealed to the square-leg umpire, and he went upstairs. The reply confirmed that Latham was in the crease and that it was Ishan who just tried to troll the Kiwi batters and did it purposely. It was a tit-for-tat moment for Latham, as he also appealed in such kind of manner when Shubman Gill was batting in the first inning.
Meanwhile, the game provided thrill and excitement to the fans and everyone was on the edge of their seat till the very last over. After this win, India will lock horns against New Zealand in the second game. It will take place in Raipur on January 21 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium.
