The Indian pacers were all over the Kiwi batting lineup. It started with Mohammed Shami taking the wicket of Finn Allen (0) with the fifth ball of the game. He took two wickets out of the first five. Mohammed Siraj, Hardik Pandya, and Shardul Thakur also contributed with one wicket each. And the visitors also looked to be struggling with consecutive wickets at the top.

IND vs NZ Live: Hardik Pandya takes a one-handed diving catch to dismiss Devon Conway – Watch

Hardik Pandya started his spell brilliantly with a wicket-maiden. He came out to bowl the 10th over of the first inning and dismiss New Zealand opener, Devon Conway. And it was a brilliant effort by the all-rounder on his own bowling, which left everyone on the ground in surprise. The wicket came on the fourth ball of the over when Hardik bowled a straight delivery and Conway pushed hard at it for a drive. The ball was travelling, and Hardik dove to his left side to complete a one-handed stunning catch.

Conway got out for a score of seven runs. Notably, Hardik’s expression was very normal after the catch, as if nothing had happened. But other Indian players and even the commentators were surprised by his diving catch. New Zealand lost their nine wickets for 105 runs in 33.1 overs. Shami took three, while Hardik and Washington Sundar took two wickets. As per the latest scorecard, the visitors got all out for 108 runs in 34.3 overs, and Kuldeep Yadav picked the final wicket. If India wins this game, it will be a series win for them. It might be an easy chase for the Indians with no pressure from the scoreboard. This will be a good opportunity for Rohit Sharma to get some runs under his belt.
