IND VS AUS: Cameron Green Will Be The World’s Best All-Rounder By a Long Way, Says Kim Hughes
IND VS AUS: Kim Hughes, the former captain of Australia, believes that Cameron Green will one day be the world’s top all-around player. Green scored his first Test century in Ahmedabad’s Border-Gavaskar trophy final game.
Hughes, who has tracked Green’s career ever since he was a teenager, told the Sydney Morning Herald“I’ve said for several years now that provided he keeps himself fit. He’ll be the world’s best all-rounder by a long way. I’ve got no doubt about that.”

“His Bowling Action Is So Easy”: Kim Hughes
Hughes said“His bowling action is so easy. And I don’t mean a one-day all-rounder. But he will be good enough to bat in any side in the world. If he was just a batter, he could bat at four, and if he was just a bowler, he could open the bowling. That’s the art of batting. Because of so much white-ball cricket, most people, even in Test cricket, if you watch them side on, their first move is this half-step forward. He picks things up very, very quickly. And he was just a natural with his hand-eye coordination.”

Hughes adores Green’s backfoot play when it comes to his hitting. Khawaja scored 180 runs, while Green added more pressure on India with brilliant 114-run innings. The Australians used both batters to great effect, scoring 480 runs after the first inning.
Many experts praised Green after his first Test century. One such person was former Australian captain Kim Hughes, who even predicted that Green may take one day top all-rounder globally.
India vs Australia, Test 4, Day 3
Said Kim Hughes“But the other thing I like about him particularly is that he’s very humble. Very respectful. He was a very good listener. And it’s been great to see him carry on and take things in his stride.”
India will want to emulate Australia’s stellar batting display after its outstanding display. Following the easy departure of captain Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill responded in like as the 23-year-old reached his half-century. And found a trustworthy batting partner in Cheteshwar Pujara. The hosts have kept the scoreboard going and are in a good position. For another strong partnership following Rohit Sharma’s dismissals.
India currently has 152/1 on the board after 51 overs, looking good, while Gill is batting at position 76. The good-batting Pujara is getting ever closer to his fifty-first inning. It will be intriguing to see if Gill can make a memorable century. And then try to make it longer like Usman Khawaja.
