The Ind vs Aus series wrapped up with India winning the Border-Gavaskar trophy 2-1. The Australian team had its fair share of struggles with injuries and not-so-favorable batting conditions. Irrespective of the results, Australia found 2 precious young spin bowlers Todd Murphy and Matthew Kuhnemann who can take charge after Nathan Lyon. Matthew Kuhnemann who made his debut for Australia in the Delhi game was not even part of Australia’s original squad.

Speaking about Nathan Lyon, Matthew Kuhnemann said, “The way that it happened, I wouldn’t change it for the world. Nathan Lyon took myself and Todd under his wing from the get-go, he was pretty much like a big brother to us over here. I’m really keen to tinker with a couple of things, trying to just keep improving my skills and play as much cricket as I can.” Australia will conclude their tour of India by playing 3 ODIs before the start of the IPL. The first Ind vs Aus ODI is in Mumbai on 17th March.
