Mannava Sri Kanth Prasad discussed how everyone believes that Virat Kohli did not have a good year as a cricketer from 2021 to 2022. He believes that this notion is based on the fact that people expect a lot from him since he has set a huge bar and a high standard for himself.

Prasad also talked about how people generally believe that Virat Kohli needs to score a century in every match or else his knock in that game will be considered a failure, which is wrong since he is also a human.

“He did not have a very great 2021-22. But that is because we expect a lot from him. He has set a very high standard for himself. He has to score hundreds in every match, otherwise, it is a failure. But he is a human after all.” said Mannava Sri Kanth Prasad about Virat Kohli’s form in 2021-22 during an exclusive interview with the Hindustan Times.

Mannava Sri Kanth Prasad believes that captaincy had put huge pressure on him, which restricted him from scoring runs. Ever since Virat Kohli has stepped down as the captain, he has been in impeccable form and has scored runs in all formats of the game.

Beginning from the Asia Cup, Virat Kohli scored his first-ever T20 century against Afghanistan. Since then the Indian cricketer hasn’t stopped scoring runs, be it ODIs, Tests or the IPL, Virat Kohli has scored centuries in all the formats.

“The captaincy pressure had him struggling for a while, but once he regained his rhythm and clarity, he did not look back. He has been in amazing form since last year’s Asia Cup, and has made centuries in all formats,” said Mannava Sri Kanth Prasad about Virat Kohli during an exclusive interview with the Hindustan Times.

“India has not won an ICC tournament for years and must be fired up to give his best to help India win. With his form, state of mind in a good place and his seniority being above 100 Tests, I am sure he will deliver in the WTC final,” said Mannava Sri Kanth Prasad about Virat Kohli’s current form during an exclusive interview with the Hindustan Times.
