In the month of April, the BCCI announced India’s squad for the WTC Finals and Jaydev Unadkat was part of the same. WTC Finals: Worries for India As Another Pacer Gets Hurt

The Lucknow SuperGiants pacer was the only left-arm fast-bowling option in the bowling line-up. With Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, and Jasprit Bumrah already not part of the WTC Finals, the men in blue cannot afford any more injuries. Moreover, Umesh Yadav had injury concerns in the last game and did not participate in the match. This leaves only Mohammad Siraj, Mohammad Shami, and Shardul Thakur from the WTC Finals squad as the fast bowlers. The WTC Finals will be played at the Oval in London this year.

With the pitch conditions supporting fast bowlers there, India will have to pick up their net bowlers if needed. Navdeep Saini and Mukesh Kumar are two fast bowling net bowlers that will travel with the team. India will face Australia in the finals starting on June 7th. In the latest update, during Royal Challengers Bangalore versus Lucknow SuperGiants game, KL Rahul has hurt himself while fielding. The captain was taken off the field. The extent of the injury is unknown so far.
