ICC Rankings: Team India thrashed Sri Lanka in the first ODI by 67 runs at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati. This win gave India a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. ICC ODI Rankings: Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma jump up in latest rankings
After scoring a century, Virat moved two places up to 6th place in the ODI batsman rankings. On the other hand, Rohit Sharma also benefited one place up to 8th spot. Apart from these two stars, Mohammed Siraj also looked good in the first ODI. He ended up with a bowling figure of 2/30 in seven overs, including one maiden. He also jumped four places up to 18th in the ODI bowlers rankings.
However, a half-century in the second T20I followed by a brilliant century in the third T20I helped Suryakumar Yadav regain his top spot in the T20I batter rankings. Speaking of the Test rankings, Australian veteran opener Usman Khawaja has jumped to the 8th spot. He smashed an unbeaten 195 runs at SCG in the third and final test against South Africa. It helped him move four places up. The two-match test series between New Zealand and Pakistan ended in a draw, but players from both teams have improved their rankings.
The Kiwi star Tom Latham, who scored 71 and 62 runs in both innings of the second test at Karachi Stadium, has moved up to 19th place.
