IND vs SL: Indian ace seamer Jasprit Bumrah has successfully established himself as one of the most lethal and destructive batters of the modern era. Bumrah has steered India to a lot of victories across all formats. Here are some Cricket betting tips today and 2022 Match Prediction.

While the seamer has established his domination on the overseas pitches, he is yet to prove himself on Indian soil in the longest format of the game. The 28-year-old has so far donned the whites for India in 27 Test matches.

He has picked 113 Test wickets at an economy rate of 2.65 and an average of 22.9. Out of these 27 games, Jasprit Bumrah has played only two Test matches at home. In his two games, he has scalped four wickets at an average of 32.25 and strike rate of 72.00.

The seamer is often rested for the home matches as a part of workload management. However, after missing the West Indies tour of India earlier this month, Jasprit Bumrah has made a comeback in the team for the Sri Lanka tour.

The Ahmedabad-born has been named as the vice-captain of the Men in Blue for the upcoming two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. Ahead of the 1st Test, Bumrah was questioned about his talent at home as he appeared before the media.

As the reporter reminded Jasprit Bumrah that most of his success has come overseas, the seamer returned with a fitting reply. Mumbai Indians pacer reckoned that not playing frequently at home doesn’t make much difference to him. The speedster added that he has played a lot of Ranji cricket and the home conditions aren’t alien to him.

“It doesn’t make a difference to me. Whenever I get an opportunity, I try and do it well. Of course, I  have played a lot of Ranji Trophy cricket, so these conditions are not alien to me. It’s always a special feeling to play Test cricket anywhere. I don’t look at a match or a particular place. I just analyze the wicket and use it to my advantage. It is no different now,”

Jasprit Bumrah said while speaking in the press conference.

Further, the 28-year-old also opened up on India’s Test combination for the first Test match against Sri Lanka, scheduled in Mohali. Team India are likely to make some key changes in the playing XI as both Ajinkya Rahane and Chesteshwar Pujara have been dropped from the team.

Also, Shubman Gill and Hanuma Vihari are available for selection. Jasprit Bumrah decided to play safe as he denied giving any details regarding the team combination. He hinted that India will keep the playing conditions in mind before reaching any decision.

“We just had a look at the track. It’s a little early to figure out the combinations. We just had an optional session and everyone was looking really good,”

Jasprit Bumrah concluded.
