IND vs SL Live: Axar Patel takes a stunning catch to dismiss Chamika Karunaratne – Watch
Karunaratne was looking good with three boundaries, but he was dismissed by a stunning diving catch. He got out in the 34th over of the inning, and it was Umran Malik who was bowling. It was the last ball of the over; the pacer bowled a wide delivery, and Karunaratne tried to guide it to the third man. But Axar was fielding at the point; he divided to his left and took a flying catch. The BCCI shared the clip of the catch on their official Twitter handle with a caption, “Sharp catch alert @akshar2026 dives to his left and takes a fine catch as @umran_malik_01 gets his second wicket.”
For India, the comeback man Kuldeep Yadav picked up three wickets in the middle overs. He registered a bowling figure of 3/51. Meanwhile, Siraj was also good and provided the first wicket for India. He ended up with a figure of 3/30 in 5.4 overs. Umran also took two wickets but was a touch expensive. A few Sri Lankan batters also got started, but no one carried on for very long. If India wins this game, they will win the series as well, with the final game to be played on Sunday at the Greenfield International Stadium in Trivandrum.
