5) Obed McCoy
The West Indian left-arm pacer, Obed McCoy, will be on the top of the list of every team during the IPL mega-auction. McCoy is a T20 specialist and he has made 13 appearances in the format and has taken 19 wickets. It looks like he was born to play the T20 format. McCoy has an outstanding average of 16.84 and an economy rate of 7.62. He is a death-over specialist and knows the right point to bowl during the tough times in a match. McCoy had an impressive run at the CPL last season St. Lucia Zouks. In the IPL mega auction, he will attract a lot of good deals as every team needs a death-over specialist. The 24-year-old Jamaican will be a good fit for the IPL tournament.
4) Mustafizur Rahman
Rahman is not a new name in the IPL circuit. The lethal bowler was playing with Rajasthan Royals in the last season of IPL. In the absence of Jofra Archer, Rajasthan Royals signed him as a replacement. Rahman had a brilliant run in IPL 2021 as a death-over bowler and enjoyed success with the team. In the last season, he took 4 wickets at an economy rate of 8.41. Rahman’s cutters and slower deliveries are the ones that are most feared by the batters. He is a crucial player for Bangladesh’s limited-overs format. If the pitch is in his favor, Rahman can turn out as the most deadly wicket-taker in the tournament.
3) Sam Curran
It came out as a huge shock when Chennai Super Kings released Sam Curran. The reason for this shock was that Curran was the most lethal bowler for CSK in the last season. He is a brilliant all-rounder which any team can wish for and he proved his skills for CSK in a lot of innings in IPL 2021. Curran has been a consistent performer for the franchise. In the 2020 season of IPL, he took 13 wickets for CSK at an amazing economy rate of 8.19. In the same season, Curran proved to be a capable lower-order batter by scoring 186 runs with an impressive strike rate of 131.17. Last Year, Curran was not as impressive as his first stint with CSK but this year he will be on the shipping list of all the franchises. Here’s cricket prediction app for smartphones.
2) T. Natarajan
T. Natarajan has turned out to be an inspiring figure in Indian cricket. The left-arm pacer from Tamil Nadu made headlines after playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2020. It helped the pacer to earn an international call for the country. However, due to constant injuries, his international career couldn’t do as well as compared to his domestic career. Natarajan picked up 16 wickets from 16 matches at an impressive economy of 8.02 in IPL 2020 while playing for SRH. His yorkers impressed everyone on the team. Last year, in the first phase, he was out of action because of an injury and in the second phase, he contracted Covid. This year Natrajan is all set to play for a new team.
1) Trent Boult
The New Zealand pacer, Trent Boult, will be the top pick of the mega-auction in February. It won’t be easy to buy him but whichever team he will play, he will turn out to be a huge asset. Till last season, Boult was signed with Mumbai Indians. In the last two years, he has picked up 38 wickets for MI. Boult’s economy rate of 7.93 was also outstanding, which clearly says that he can be a valuable player at any point of the match. Boult is a left-arm pacer with good accuracy and pace. In recent T20 games, he has shown a great change in his bowling which has helped his team at the global level. Boult is a powerplay specialist which makes him lethal every time he is on the field.
