IPL 2022 LIVE: It was a Miller’s show at the Eden Gardens last night when Gujarat Titans locked horns with Rajasthan Royals. The left-hander hit three consecutive sixes to win the Qualifier 1 for GT and now they have moved to the IPL finals. It was another toss loss for the Sanju Samson, and GT elected to bowl first.

Yashavi Jaiswal got out early after scoring three runs, which brought the skipper to the crease. RR had a cautious start, but then Samson went berserk. He played an excellent cameo of 47 runs off 26 balls and added 68 runs for the second wicket.

Once he got out, Devdutt Padikkal took the charge and scored 28 off 28 balls. On the other end, Buttler looked rusty in the first phase of his innings. But once he got to his half-century, he went all guns blazing. He carried on the innings and hung in till the very last over. However, he got out in the last over but took his team to a good score of 188/6 in 20 overs. The opener scored his fifth half-century of this season along with three centuries. He was looking good for another century but fell short by 11 runs and made 89 off 56 balls.

Chasing the target, GT too lost the in-form Wridhhiman Saha off the second ball of the first over. But Shubman Gill and Mathew Wade put on a 72-run partnership for the second wicket to bring GT out of the misery. However, once the partnership was broken, both batters got out with an identical score of 35 runs. That was the time when RR came back into the game. But David Miller and skipper Hardik had a different plan. Free live IPL betting tips and match guides from professional betting tipsters here on our site.

Both batsmen didn’t look uncomfortable and took the game away from Rajasthan. Skipper played aggressively at the start, but once he slowed down, Miller took charge and ended the game three days early. They added 106* runs for the fourth wicket. The GT skipper was unbeaten on 40* off 27 balls. The left-hander scored 68* off 38 balls, including three boundaries and five maximums. GT are through to the finals and will play on May 29 in front of their home ground.

The player who went unsold on the first day of the 2022 auction was later picked by the Gujarat Titans. And how good that decision has proved for them this season. Miller is at his best since the 2015 season and is in sixth place in the leading run-scorer list. He has so far scored 449 runs at an average of 64.14. And his three sixes clinched the victory for GT. He was also named “Man of the Match” for his efforts.
