IPL 2022 LIVE: MI vs DC – The Chase
Chasing the target, Ishan Kishan looked good at the crease, but Rohit struggled against Khaleel Ahmed. In the end, the skipper’s struggles ended and it brought South African U19 star Dewald Brevis to the crease. Both batters looked good and added 51 runs for the second wicket. But the wicket-keeper batsman got out after scoring 48 runs. Want to bet on cricket on the move? Discover India’s best online betting apps here on our site.
However, Brevis got a life in the same over when Pant dropped an easy catch. But he couldn’t score much and fell to Shardul Thakur after scoring 37 runs.
But the turning point of the match came on the very next ball when Tim David faced his first ball. Shardul bowled a good length ball that took a faint edge and it was caught by Pant.
Initially, both the bowler and wicket-keeper appealed for it, but it was turned down by the on-field umpire and, despite having two reviews left, DC didn’t go upstairs. Later, it was shown on the big screen that the ball got the edge, and the Pant and DC players were heartbroken.
But after that, Tim David totally took charge and changed the scenario of the game in MI’s favour. He played a brilliant cameo of 35 off 11 balls, including two boundaries and four maximums. However, he got out early but did his work. In the end, the formalities were done by Ramandeep Singh (13* off 6) to seal the deal for MI. With this loss, DC has been out of the competition. On the other hand, RCB has made it to the top four. For more cricket betting odds and scheduled matches for the 2022 season, read here.
IPL 2022 LIVE: Jasprit Bumrah at his Best
MI restricted DC to an average score courtesy of a brilliant spell by their ace bowler, Jasprit Bumrah. He ended the inning with a figure of 3/25 in his four overs and took all three important wickets. He took the wickets of Prithvi Shaw, Mitchell Marsh, and the dangerous Rovman Powell. He has also become the Indian with the highest T20 wickets. Bumrah won the “Man of the Match” last night for his performance.
