BCCI and IPL Officials to Work on Plan B for The Tournament
BCCI is considering holding a meeting with all the owners of the IPL Franchise to work on Plan B of the tournament. This decision has come under the influence of the ongoing pandemic and Omicron scare. There is a high possibility that India might be seeing a rise in the covid cases at the beginning of next year.
IPL is scheduled to begin in the April/May window of next year. BCCI is working hard to make sure that there are no interruptions in the tournament. In IPL 2021, they suspended the tournament in the middle because of the rising cases in India, which came as a surprise to many online cricket betting sites.

BCCI has to reschedule the event in the October/November window and the rest of the tournament took place in UAE. According to some reports, this year BCCI is not planning to take the event in UAE. The board is planning to conclude the tournament in India itself by taking extra safety measures.
“The meeting will be mainly introductory with the BCCI on-boarding the owners of the two new teams, Lucknow and Ahmedabad. They are also exploring the idea of holding the whole tournament just in Mumbai and Pune. Cities in Gujarat, like Ahmedabad, Baroda, and Rajkot, can also be considered if the Covid/Omicron situation worsens.” CricBuzz quoted multiple franchise owners on their website.
IPL scouts are already on their duty to figure out some new players for the tournament. IPL is a good platform for some young players because it provides a solid start to their future.
In November, the eight franchisees who are already part of the tournament revealed their retained and released players. It will be interesting to see the arrangements of BCCI this year because the Covid cases are already rising in India. The two new franchises will be skeptical about the whole tournament even after BCCI’s assurance. Here’s our free betting tips. Do check it here.
