IPL 2022 Auction: 4 Players who Earned 10 Cr and more but will be part of Auction this season
1. Ben Stokes
England’s premier all-rounder, Ben Stokes, has opted out of the IPL 2022. His decision is in regards to managing his workload and remaining mentally fresh for England’s next home season. Stokes had already missed most of the matches from last season in the IPL.
He just played one single match in the entire season. However, the Rajasthan Royals retained him for a whopping amount of Rs. 12.5 crore in IPL 2021. There was some speculation earlier that Stokes would be part of the 2022 auction. But fans will not be able to see the star all-rounder this season. 2. Chris Morris
Chris Morris was one of the most expensive players in the IPL. Rajasthan Royals spent a whopping 16.25 crore on Morris last year. But the all-rounder is now retired and will not play any kind of cricket. However, Morris was not able to justify his price tag and was very ordinary in his performance.
Due to his conflicts with Cricket South Africa, Morris decided to say goodbye to all forms of cricket. As a result, we will not see Chris Morris take part in the IPL 2022.
3. Kyle Jamieson
The Kiwi pacer is next on the list. Kyle Jamieson is another absentee who will not be participating in IPL 2022. Royal Challengers Bangalore spent a whopping amount of INR 15 crore on him in last year’s mini-auction. However, he was not able to perform as per expectations. He took 9 wickets in 9 games with an economy of around 10.
The pacer has opted out of the IPL to improve his game so that he can compete in all formats for the Black Caps. He was the second-most expensive buy of the IPL 2021.
4. Jhye Richardson
Australian Pacer Jhye Richardson is another name who will not be available this season. Richardson made his debut last season for the Punjab Kings. The pacer is not on the final list of shortlisted players, which means he will not be in the IPL 2022. Punjab Kings signed him for a whopping Rs 14 crore.
But it didn’t go well for him and Punjab. He didn’t perform as per expectations. A total of 47 Australian players have been shortlisted, but Richardson is missing. Looking for top cricket prediction sites? Here are the list of all sites.
