IPL 2022 Auction: 5 Players From 40 Lakh Base Price, Who Can Fetch Way 10 Times Their Base Price
1. Shahrukh Khan
The hard-hitting Tamil Nadu batter is first on the list. Shahrukh Khan has been a star performer on the domestic circuit. He played an important role in Tamil Nadu’s winning the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in both 2020/21 and 2021/22. In the final of the last edition, he hit a six on the final ball of the tournament to seal the title against Karnataka.
Punjab Kings signed Shahrukh at a price of Rs. 5.25 crore in IPL 2021. So there is no doubt that he can get more than ten times his base price in the auction in 2022. Seeking live betting tips? Check it here.
2. Rahul Tripathi
Rahul Tripathi was one of the biggest reasons behind the Kolkata Knight Riders’ journey to the finals of 2021. Tripathi scored 397 runs in 14 innings with a fantastic strike rate of 140.28. And with most of the team having good top-order batsmen, Tripathi can provide them stability in the middle order.
He has set a starting price of 40 lakhs. But he is another player who can bag some healthy amounts with his experience in the IPL.
3. Shivam Mavi
The young pacer is next on the list and will be the choice of many IPL franchises. Shivam Mavi is perhaps one of the most talented young pacers in Indian cricket. With his bowling performances in 2021, he lit the Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy on fire.
He took 15 wickets in just seven games at an economy of 4.38 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. The young pacer was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders setup since 2018. KKR signed him with a hefty amount of Rs. 3 crores. So there are numerous reasons that he can get even more than that this time.
4. Rahul Tewatia
The young all-rounder Rahul Tewatia is next with a base price of 40 lakhs but is likely to earn more. The all-rounder rose to fame after hitting five sixes in a single over off Sheldon Cottrell during the IPL 2020. Since then, he was an important part of the Rajasthan Royals’ setup.
He is known for his power-hitting lower down the order. He is also a good bowler, who can bowl some crucial overs in the middle. Tewatia has scored 521 runs at an average of 23.68 and took 32 wickets so far in the IPL.
5. Deepak Hooda
Deepak Hooda is next on the list, who is a promising talent with enough IPL experience to earn big money this season. He was the part of Punjab Kings in the previous season. However, he was amongst the unsung heroes of the maiden title victory for Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2016.
He is a powerful finisher with great six-hitting ability. Hooda is a more than decent spinner as well. He is a gun fielder as well who saves some valuable runs for his team. Here’s our new cricket prediction for this season.
