IPL 2022 Auction: Day-2 of the IPL Mega auction concluded in Bengaluru and a total of 188 players went sold. Gujarat Titans on Day-1 had bought 7 players, including 3 overseas players. Their total tally at the end of Day-1, including their draft picks, was 10 players inclusive of 4 overseas players. Their remaining purse amount before entering Day-2 of auctions was INR 18.85 Cr with a maximum of 15 more spots to fill.

On Day-2 of the auction, Gujarat Titans owned by the CVC Capital Partners group spent INR 18.60 cr and bought 13 more players. Out of 13, 4 were overseas players. The Titans roped in South African David Miller for INR 3 Cr.

Gujarat Titans had not picked any wicket-keeper yesterday. Therefore, they went for Australia’s Matthew Wade for INR 2.4 Cr. The Titans also bought Wriddhiman Saha for INR 1.9 Cr to round off their wicket-keeping department.

They also picked West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph for INR 2.4 Cr. The Titans also roped in another West Indies Dominic Drakes for INR 1.1 Cr for All-rounder spot.

While picking Indian players, Gujarat Titans looked more interested in roping in All-rounders. The Titans picked fast bowling all-rounder Vijay Shankar and spin all-rounder Jayant Yadav for INR 1.4 Cr and INR 1.7 Cr respectively.

Delhi’s Pradeep Sangwan and Goa’s Varun Aaron will be part of their pace attack.
