IPL 2022 Auction: The mega auction ahead of IPL 2022 is finally over. While there were quite a few surprising buys, mainly due to prices, on the 1st day of the IPL 2022 Auction, the second went along the expected lines. Mumbai Indians, who were majorly out of action on Day 1, meant business on the following day. Teams managed to fill up their voids, and solidify their squads.

IPL 2022, with 74 matches, is expected to start around the last week of March. BCCI will want to organize the tournament in India, with South Africa as a backup host according to reports. The schedule might be announced within a couple of weeks.

IPL 2022 Auction: Lucknow Super Giants Squad

Lucknow ended up with a decent squad of 21 players, including 7 overseas players, as they exhausted their full purse. They have solid opening options in KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock, Evin Lewis, and Manan Vohra. Manish Pandey, Deepak Hooda, Marcus Stoinis, Jason Holder, and Krunal Pandya will form their middle-order. However, they would’ve been better placed with a solid left-handed middle-order batsman.

With Avesh Khan, Mark Wood, Jason Holder, Dushmantha Chameera, and Ankit Rajpoot, Lucknow’s pace attack also seems nice. Ravi Bishnoi, Krunal Pandya, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Krishnappa Gowtham are their main spin options. Lucknow may miss an extra lead spinner in their squad.
