IPL 2022 Auction: Royal Challengers Bangalore Full Squad and Remaining Purse After Day 1
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) had a busy day on Day 1 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction in Bengaluru on Saturday.
RCB bought as many as eight players at the mega auction ahead of the upcoming 15th edition of the tournament. That included two uncapped players: Anuj Rawat and Akash Deep.
Interestingly, RCB spent INR 3.4 crore on wicketkeeper-batsman Rawat, who represents Delhi in the domestic circuit.
One of the best moments for RCB on the first day of the mega auction was to buy back Harshal Patel, last season’s Purple Cap winner. Following a fierce bidding war with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), RCB won back their all-rounder for INR 10.75 crore.
RCB, who are still aiming to win their maiden IPL title, also roped in Faf du Plessis. The former South Africa captain had three excellent seasons with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2019, 2020 and 2021, where he scored 396, 449, and 633 runs respectively.
Over the years, RCB have produced some of the best teams in the IPL but the trophy still eludes them.
Virat Kohli stepped down as RCB’s captain at the end of IPL 2021 but the team retained him, along with Glenn Maxwell and Mohammad Siraj. Here are some IPL cricket betting sites and get more tips from the experts.
