IPL 2022 Auction: IPL 2022 mega auctions have come to an end and the fate of all the teams has been decided for the IPL 2022 tournament. On 12th and 13th February, 10 franchises took part to select some of the best players from the draft of 590 players shortlisted by BCCI and the IPL committee. One team, which needs a revival and who was on a buying spree was Sunrisers Hyderabad.

After a disappointing season in IPL 2021, Hyderabad would like to forget its nightmare before the new season begins. It was devastating to see SRH finishing at the last position in 2021. Their star player David Warner has been released and will be joining Delhi Capitals from 2022. The starting for Hyderabad was slow but by the end of the IPL auctions, SRH has bought 20 players. The list included both the capped and uncapped players.

In IPL 2021, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost 8 out of 9 games. They finished their IPL campaign with just 6 points. For the upcoming season of IPL, Hyderabad’s focus during the auction was mainly to have some strong opening batsmen and all-rounders. They were also seen showing trust in their old players like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Priyam Garg.
