1. Jos Buttler
The First choice must be England’s wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler, whom RR has put a lot of trust in already. He is a member of England’s leadership group and Buttler is the limited-overs vice-captain. Thus he can assist Sanju Samson in leading the Rajasthan Royals ahead.

2. Shimron Hetmyer
At the IPL 2022 auctions in Bengaluru, West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer was picked by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 8.5 crore. Last season, Hetmyer hit 242 runs for the Delhi Capitals at a strike rate of 168.05.
The Rajasthan Royals and the Delhi Capitals were the two teams who were most interested in buying him during the auction, and he also became one of West Indies’ most expensive purchases, following Jason Holder, who was bought by the Lucknow Supergiants for Rs. 8.75 crores.
3. James Neesham
James Neesham was bought for Rs. 1.5 crores. Jimmy Neesham had already set a base price of Rs. 1.5 crore for himself before the auction. In the previous season, the New Zealander was a member of the Mumbai Indians franchise. Neesham didn’t start a lot of matches for MI due to competition in the area of Bowler and All-rounder players. With the likes of Pollard and Hardik Pandya starting ahead of him.
In the 2014 season of the IPL, Neesham made his debut. During that season, he was a member of the Delhi Daredevils. He scored 42 runs and took 1 wicket in 4 games for the side. For the following five seasons, he was out of the tournament.
4. Trent Boult
Rajasthan Royals bought left-arm bowler Trent Boult for Rs 8 crore during the IPL 2022 auctions in Bengaluru. The Kiwi, who formed a powerful pace attack alongside Jasprit Bumrah at Mumbai Indians in the 2020 and 2021 seasons, was picked in the IPL 2022 auctions’ from the marquee list of players. In his two seasons with the Indians, he has taken 38 wickets in 29 matches.
Boult debuted in the IPL in 2015, after being purchased for Rs 3.8 crore by Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 2017, he joined the Kolkata Knight Riders for a single season before joining the Delhi Daredevils in 2018 and 2019. In 62 IPL appearances, the 32-year-old bowler has 76 wickets at an economy rate of 8.4.
