BCCI to create a green corridor to ensure a proper bio bubble movement

Further, the source confirmed that the BCCI is keen on following all the protocols and guidelines to ensure the proper implementation of IPL 2022. The Indian board is likely to make a green corridor so that the teams can safely travel to their practice venues from their hotels.

“As all the teams will be playing matches across the four venues in Mumbai, Pune. They will also have practice sessions at various practice facilities. A green corridor will need to be created for their movement so that the bio bubbles are maintained. BCCI will follow the protocols of the biosecure movement for all the participants in the bubble,”

the source added.

The authorities will also be giving out special instructions to handle the Covid-19 cases during IPL 2022. If a player test positive for the virus, he will be quarantined in the same hotel. The board will be making special arrangements for the same.

“During the travel to Navi Mumbai and Pune, it will be ideal to have a safe passage to avoid delays. If any member of a team ends up testing positive for COVID, they are likely to be allowed quarantine in the hotel and special arrangements will be made for that scenario,”
