SRH not getting along with the HEAD-STRONG Australians

IPL 2022: In the last few months, we witnessed some was wrong going on with this franchise. Many Australians had decided to either move on or have been removed from the SRH Squad. Firstly David Warner was sacked from his position in the team.

Despite winning the title and scoring tons of runs for the IPL team. Fans accused SRH of not treating Warner well. They made him sit out of the XI and also were asked not to be in the team’s DUG-OUT during IPL 2021. Trevor Bayliss and Brad Haddin have also departed as coaches from last season. Another former Australian cricketer Tom Moody currently is the Director of Cricket with Sunrisers Hyderabad. Simon Katich was his assistant coach.

Sunrisers Management is already accused of interfering in the cricketing decisions of the team. It reported that during the last two IPL Seasons some of the decisions by the management did not go down well with the senior players.

The fallout between David Warner and SRH promoters was also reportedly the result of the same reason. New Zealand great Daniel Vettori described the decision to drop Warner at the time as staggering while South African superstar Dale Steyn is now the bowling coach of SRH. He had said that ‘something is going behind the scenes’.

IPL 2022 : Steyn Interview

There’s something going on there – I don’t know what’s going on there, really. I don’t know whether David may have questioned some of the decisions they had made, maybe when Manish Pandey was left out. I heard him say something along the lines of it wasn’t his decision or it was out of his hands. Sometimes management don’t appreciate that. The captain of the team needs to take ownership of this squad and know who is going out onto the field, and sometimes that gets taken out of their hands. It seems like there’s definitely something happening behind closed doors that the public are not aware of.”
