IPL 2022: “You Bowl the Way You Want” Yuzvendra Chahal Revealed His Brotherhood with Virat Kohli
IPL 2022: Yuzvendra Chahal has always been one of the best spinners for the Indian team and Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has always produced some breathtaking performances for his team in the past. Under the captaincy of Virat Kohli, Chahal has achieved a lot of success for India and RCB. Former skipper Virat Kohli never shied away from passing the ball to Chahal, whether it was for India or RCB. That shows the trust he had in his lead spinner.

Chahal: “You plan the way you want to bowl”
IPL 2022: The leg spinner pointed out that Virat never tried to change him. He said that Virat was very supportive and let him bowl as per his own bowling plan. Chahal opened up on playing under Virat. He said,
“I realised that he [Kohli] had a lot of positive energy. He never tried to change me, he never asked me to bowl this way or that way. We always had two plans, and the first plan was always mine. He would tell me, ‘You plan the way you want to bowl.”
Chahal was released by the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the IPL 2022 auction. And now the leg spinner is under the hammer again. Chahal added,
“It helped me because I have to bowl, so it helped to think about it, [and] get the field I wanted. Sometimes I told him to set whatever field he wanted, so he said, ‘Okay, I will make a couple of changes, you bowl the way you want’. That gives you confidence when a big player – your captain – supports you.”
Chahal concluded that Virat has given him the confidence that a bowler wants from a big player.
IPL 2022: “I want to go to RCB again”, says Chahal
The leg spinner expressed his desire to play for the Royal Challengers Bangalore again. Despite that, he also said that as a professional player, he is ready to serve any team. He stated that as a player he will give his 100 percent to the team whoever will take him in the auction. Chahal said,
“I am ready to go to any team. As a professional player, you should be ready to play for any team. Obviously, I want to go to RCB again. But I won’t feel bad if I go somewhere else. All of them have to build new teams. Whoever takes me, I have no problem. I will continue to give my 100 percent.”
The auction will be held in Bengaluru between February 12 and 13. The base price of Chahal is 2 crore. Many think that, with his experience, Chahal will be the hot prospect in the auction. Looking for cricket prediction site? then you are in the right place. Do check our match prediction here.
