Gujarat Titans won the toss and invited Chennai Super Kings to bat first. The opening batsmen of Chennai Super Kings, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway collectively scored a hundred runs. Ruturaj scored 60 runs off 44 deliveries with a strike rate of 136.36 while smashing 7 fours and a six, while Devon Conway scored 40 runs off 34 deliveries with a strike rate of 117.65 and hit four boundaries.

Aakash Chopra analysed Chennai Super Kings’ win against Gujarat Titans

Ruturaj Gaikwad’s incredible knock led Chennai Super Kings to a decent total of 172. Which resulted in the team’s easy victory. However, this could have been restricted by Gujarat Titans as Darshan Nalkande’s delivery led Ruturaj to get caught by Shubman Gill. Unfortunately, the delivery was declared as a no-ball by the umpire. Aakash Chopra firmly believes that was the moment when Gujarat Titans lost the grip of the game against Chennai Super Kings.

“When CSK lost the toss and got to bat first, Devon Conway and Ruturaj Gaikwad shone once again. No ball hurt you. It was Darshan Nalkande’s ball and Shubman Gill took a very easy catch but it was a no-ball. Then a six and a four and then you say that you are getting hurt by your fortune. What are you doing?” Said Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel, while analysing the game between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans.

Then Ruturaj hit and scored 60 runs. A tough pitch at the time and he batted very well against spin. I think it’s his fourth fifty against this team. Devon Conway was struggling, it was apparent that he wasn’t able to bat well, but he managed. He just hangs in there,” added Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel, while analysing the game between Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Titans.
