Shami along with players like Mohit Sharma and Rashid Khan have consistently given stellar performances for the team to have this season, but still failed to lift the trophy.

“Think about it, Orange Cap – Shubman Gill, the top three wicket-takers in the tournament are from Gujarat – Mohammad Shami, Mohit Sharma and Rashid Khan, but who has the trophy? That’s the beauty of MS Dhoni and the Chennai franchise. However, Ravindra Jadeja smashed a six and a boundary to make Chennai Super Kings win, which was extremely special.

“Mohit Sharma executed excellent yorkers off the first four balls of the final over but ten were required off the last two and they were scored. Ravindra Jadeja hits a straight six and then a four and won them the match. This was something special,” said Aakash Chopra on his YouTube channel while praising Ravindra Jadeja for smashing winning runs for Chennai Super Kings.
