This season, MS Dhoni has barely played more than an over per game. Therefore, keeping in mind the impact player rule, Yusuf Pathan expressed that the CSK skipper can elongate his career. “In my opinion, Dhoni can continue playing for another five years because of the new Impact Player rule. He has said nothing about retirement. It’s others who have been talking about it and still has a lot of cricket left in him. He has hit big sixes in IPL, despite the pain in his knees. So this shows his commitment towards the sport,” Yusuf Pathan said.

CSK’s victory over DC has put Gujarat Titans against Chennai Super Kings in the qualifier 1 which will again be played in Chennai on 23 May. With CSK finishing in the top 2, even if they lose the qualifier 1, they will get another chance at the finals. “There is no recipe for success. You try and pick the best players and give them the best slot to perform. Credit to the management as well, they always back us. But, the players are most important, without the players, we can’t do anything. I think death bowling, confidence is very important,” MS Dhoni said after the win against DC.
