Injuries are part and parcel of the game and no matter how much one tries, it is impossible to avoid it. Another member to join the list of injured players in this season’s IPL was David Willey from RCB. The team was quick to announce Kedar Jadhav as the replacement. With the poor middle-order that RCB has, Jadhav’s addition to the team is a good thing.

Kedar Jadhav who was part of JioCinema’s Marathi commentary panel spoke about receiving a call from RCB coach Sanjay Bangar. Expressing his surprise, the RCB player said that call took him by surprise but he was more than happy to join the camp. Kedar Jadhav has earlier played 2 seasons for the Royal Challengers Bangalore one out of which was 2016 when they were the finalists. However, the player has not been a part of the IPL for the last 2 seasons.

Kedar Jadhav is to be available for RCB vs DC match

Kedar Jadhav Recalls Conversation With RCB Coach Sanjay Bangar

In a video shared by RCB, Kedar Jadhav said, “I was doing commentary and Sanjay Bhai called me asking what are you doing. I said I am doing commentary. He said are you practicing and I said yeah, twice a week I am practicing. So he asked fitness-wise and I said gym and all I am doing in my hotel so I am in shape. He said give me some time, I’ll call you back. That moment only I realized that he is about to call me and tell me that I want you to come and play for RCB.”

RCB has currently won 5 out of 9 games that they’ve played. As the competition progresses, the fight for the top 4 positions will now intensify. Therefore, going forward RCB will have to stick to a proper batting line-up. Now, with Kedar Jadhav joining the side, RCB can drop Anuj Rawat and try Kedar Jadhav at number 3. So far no one apart from Faf Du Plessis, Virat Kohli, and Glenn Maxwell has done anything impressive with the bat. Royal Challengers Bangalore’s next match is against Delhi Capitals on 6th May in Delhi.
