After losing 3 quick wickets, Stoinis and LSG skipper Krunal Pandya anchored the innings. They kept looking for singles and doubles and got boundaries off every now and then to keep Lucknow Super Giants in the game.

On a challenging track, Marcus Stoinis slammed a half-century off 36 balls. It was his third fifty of the IPL 2023 season and seventh overall in the tournament. The mighty all-rounder was involved in a brilliant 82-run partnership with Skipper Krunal Pandya before Pandya retired hurt on 49.

The LSG all-rounder was on 45 off 35 deliveries when he launched a brutal assault on MI pacer Chris Jordan in the 18th over of the LSG innings. Marcus Stoinis scored 24 runs off Chris Jordan’s over, including 3 boundaries and 2 sixes that completely shifted the momentum towards Lucknow Super Giants.

Stoinis scored 44 off his final 12 deliveries after getting the rhythm in Jordan’s over. He slammed a couple of sixes in the 19th over bowled by Jason Behrendorff and another maximum on the final delivery of LSG innings off MI pacer Akash Madhwal.

No other batter passed 50-ruj mark for the LSG franchise, with Krunal Pandya’s 49 being the next highest score in MI vs LSG clash.
