The duo of Jitesh Sharma and Liam Livingstone piled on 119 runs for the fourth wicket against Mumbai Indians on a high-scoring Mohali wicket. Punjab Kings were placed at 178-3 after the 18th over as they looked to aim a 200+ plus score.

Jofra Archer started his over with a slower short ball as Liam Livingstone waited for the delivery and smashed a mighty six over the long-on boundary. On the next ball the PBKS batter hit a fuller delivery by Archer over long-on for a 92-metre six to make it two in two.

On the third delivery of his over Archer changed his line and length as Liam Livingstone waited for the ball, took a swing and sent it 99-metres over the long-on stands for the third consecutive six in as many deliveries and put all sorts of pressure on the MI pacer.

Livingstone and Jitesh Sharma took two singles of the next two deliveries by Jofra Archer. The English pacer then went for the effort ball which was dig in so short that it went above the batter’s head and even keeper Ishan Kishan couldn’t stop it.

The umpire signalled wide as the ball was way above the batter’s head as Jofra Archer gifted 5 runs to Punjab Kings. On the final delivery of the 19th over, Archer conceded two runs as he went on to leak 27 runs in a single over.
