Mohsin Khan Dedicates LSG’s Victory Against Mumbai Indians to His Father

LSG’s left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan was not part of the current IPL edition for the majority of the games because of an unfortunate injury. The player made his comeback for LSG in their second-last match of the season. However, this comeback will be remembered for a long time because of his brilliant spell, especially the last over wherein he defended 11 runs. Mohsin Khan’s last over helped LSG win a close margin game against Mumbai Indians.

Coming into a crucial game after a long injury hiatus has never been an easy task. Mohsin Khan was not only dealing with his personal injuries but with the family issues too. After the game, Mohsin Khan spoke about how the LSG franchise supported him during his treatment. He further mentioned that his father was discharged from the ICU the night before this match. The left-arm pacer also explained what his plans were and how he executed them.

“My father got discharged from the ICU yesterday and he was in the hospital for the last 10 days. I did it for him, he would have been watching it on TV and would feel very happy. The plan was to execute what I did in practice and I executed. Even Krunal was talking to me and I told him the same. The run-up was the same, did not change it in the last over. I was trying to calm myself down, not look at the scoreboard and bowl the six balls well,” Mohsin Khan said.

Mohsin Khan then opened up on his injury and explained how he could have lost his hand. The 24-year-old added that his artery was blocked and then went on to thank the franchise for helping him during that time. LSG captain Krunal Pandya also applauded the young bowler who finished his spell for 1-26 in 3 overs. Speaking of Lucknow SuperGiants, Marcus Stoinis, and Krunal Pandya’s contribution pushed the team to a score of 177. Now, the team stands at number at 3 with 15 points and one more victory away from official qualification.
