“There are a lot of noises when a player approaches the back end of his career. MS Dhoni shut the noise brilliantly and guided his team slowly in this season. He’s helped CSK stay in the hunt for the top two spots so far,” Mithali Raj discussed about CSK’s success on Star Sports.

It’s worth noting that under MS Dhoni’s leadership, Chennai Super Kings have bounced back from a disastrous last season where they finished at the ninth position in the points table. Most of the cricket experts weren’t expecting them to make a comeback in IPL 2023.
CSK missed the services of Matheesha Pathirana and Maheesh Theekshana in the first few games as both the players were on a national duty. Ben Stokes and Deepak Chahar too got injured after featuring in the first few games for the MS Dhoni-led side.
However, despite missing out on a few important players, CSK has kept performing well throughout the tournament. MS Dhoni has made sure to get great success even with young pacers like Tushar Deshpande and Akash Singh while he also allowed Ajinkya Rahane to play his natural game without any pressure which helped him in scoring plenty of runs.
