Naveen-Ul-Haq has been in the news lately and not for very good reasons. The young Afghani player’s verbal spat with Virat Kohli was all over the internet. Fans were not happy with the player’s behavior and started commenting on his posts. In order to stop the hate comments, Naveen-Ul-Haq had to restrict his comments on Instagram too. As a consequence of his actions, he was even fined 50% of the match.

Ahead of the Lucknow SuperGiants versus Chennai Super Kings match, Naveen-Ul-Haq said, “Great experience for me coming from Afghanistan and being a fast bowler. Playing franchise cricket and helped me come here and do well for the team. Always helps when you come to a stadium and don’t feel like a stranger. You know what red soil does, and what black soil does. Black soil gives you more help with the cutters, red soil gives you more bounce. (What LSG need to do better) Hopefully, if we are chasing we can score the runs today.”

MS Dhoni’s Picture With Naveen-Ul-Haq Goes Viral

The match was later abandoned due to rain but the picture of Naveen-Ul-Haq alongside MS Dhoni went viral on the internet. The younger generation of players generally look up to learning from MS Dhoni and Naveen-Ul-Haq was no different. However, there were mixed reactions from the fans when LSG posted pictures from the conversation with MS Dhoni. While some weren’t happy with the post, some showered sympathy after the fiasco.

Speaking about the LSG vs CSK match, it began with MS Dhoni opting to bowl first. Lucknow were playing without their skipper KL Rahul. Manan Vohra was replacing the captain while Karan Sharma was in the team in place of Deepak Hooda. There wasn’t much contribution from the batters except Ayush Badoni’s 59 runs. During the last over of the first innings, the match saw a heavy downpour resulting in abandonment of the game and the two teams sharing one point each.

Here’s how Twitter reacted to the picture:
