PBKS vs DC: After getting knocked out of the 2023 Indian Premier League, the Delhi Capitals registered a comprehensive win on Wednesday. DC faced the Punjab Kings in the 64th game of the season at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala. This game saw DC score over 200 runs in an inning for the first time this season. It was largely because of a brilliant knock from South African star Rilee Rossouw. The southpaw smashed his maiden IPL fifty.

With this win, Delhi has settled the score at 1-1 after losing to Punjab in the previous game at home. It started with PBKS winning the toss and putting Delhi to bat first. Mitchell Marsh missed the game due to fitness issues. Thus, Prithvi Shaw made his comeback into the playing XI. Delhi had a really good start, with both openers scoring 94 runs for the first wicket. PBKS vs DC: “It was a good wicket to bat on”- Rilee Rossouw
David Warner got out after scoring a 31-ball 46. Shaw made his first half-century in the IPL 2023. He added another 54 runs for the second wicket with Rossouw. Shaw got out after playing a good inning of 54. After that, DC got a great finish with an unbeaten 65-run third-wicket stand in just five overs. Rossouw scored his maiden fifty and remained unbeaten on 82 off 37, with a strike rate of 221.62.
Phil Salt played a cameo of 14 off 26. Rossouw won the “Man of the Match” award in the end for his excellent inning. After the game, the left-hander thanked the management for backing him. In the post-match presentation, Rossouw said,
“Thanks to the support staff. Chuffed that I could perform for the team. As Davey mentioned was a good wicket. Davey put up a good partnership at the top. I enjoyed some momentum coming in. Just shows that this game is not over till the last ball is bowled. Exceptional innings from Liam.”
DC scored a mammoth total of 213/2 in their first inning. In reply, PBKS had a rusty start and lost skipper Shikhar Dhawan for a golden duck after a maiden first over. Liam Livingstone scored his highest IPL score. He made a 48-ball 94, but PBKS fell short by 15 runs and managed 198/8 in 20 overs.
