He looked at his explosive best and played shots to all parts of the ground. Kishan also played a good inning of 75 off 41, including seven fours and four sixes. But the inning for SKY changed the situation of the match. Former Indian star Robin Uthappa praised SKY for his explosive inning and said that he batted at his usual best. In a discussion on Jio Cinema, Uthappa said,

“Just the way he bats and the confidence with which he bats. And you could see that he was dominating from the word go. And that’s what we know Suryakumar Yadav for. That’s the SKY we all know, we want him to play that way. And I feel that’s the best way for him to play. Go out there, express himself and have fun and dominate the bowling attack. And try to dominate the bowling attack from the word go.”

MI chased down the target in 18.5 overs and made 216/4. It was highest successful run chase by a team in Mohali. Tilak Varma (26 off 10) and Tim David (19 off 10) took them home. With this win, MI moved to 6th place with 10 points.
