Chasing a massive target of 198 runs, Gujarat Titans lost their opener, Wriddhiman Saha, early into their innings. Shubman Gill then built a crucial partnership along with Vijay Shankar who came in to bat at the number 3 position.
The young Indian opener continued his purple patch in the IPL 2023 tournament, registering a brisk half-century. Gill raced to his half-century in just 29 balls against RCB as he went all guns blazing against the RCB bowling lineup.
He smashed Michael Bracewell for a couple of sixes in the 13th over as Gujarat Titans got a big over of 16 runs while chasing a huge target. After Vijay Shankar’s wicket, it was a Shubman Gill show as he accelerated and never took off his foot from the pedal.
