RCB vs LSG: Krishnappa Gowtham Takes a Blinder to Dismiss Suyash Prabhudessai

After the dismissal of Glenn Maxwell in the 13th over, skipper Faf du Plessis needed someone who could provide the acceleration from the other end. Furthermore, Suyash Prabhudessai came in with the intent to play some big shots and to let his skipper anchor the innings from the other end.

Suyash had scored just 6 runs after playing 7 deliveries and then decided to take on leg-spinner Amit Mishra. The LSG spinner bowled a slowish delivery targeting the stumps, as Suyash went on to the backfoot and hit into the air towards the long off boundary.

Krishnappa Gowtham was fielding at the long-off boundary. He initially misjudged the catch and seemed to have lost it, but in the end, adjusted himself and grabbed a blinder by diving in front. Suyash Prabhudessai took the long walk back to the pavilion courtesy of the superb diving catch by Gowtham.

After the dismissal of Suyash, the RCB team never got the momentum they were looking for in the final few overs. Moreover, wickets kept trembling from the other end while Faf du Plessis too departed as he looked to accelerate the run rate.

Lucknow Super Giants used four spin options on a spin-friendly wicket and restricted the flow of runs right till the last over. Courtesy of the brilliant bowling by the LSG lineup, the RCB team could only post a below-par total of 126-9 in their 20 overs in the RCB vs LSG game.
