Virat Kohli Speaks About His 103m Six in the RCB vs SRH Match
The RCB vs SRH game will be remembered by the fans of both teams for a long time. Two great players Heinrich Klassen and Virat Kohli smashed centuries for their teams on the same day. The Sunrisers Hyderabad batting first put up a score of 186 runs. Virat Kohli and Faf Du Plessis’ 172 runs opening stand made the run chase look easier than it was. This resulted in the Royal Challengers Bangalore team finishing the match with 8 wickets in hand and 4 balls to go.
Virat Kohli has had a great IPL season after a long struggle last year. While runs were coming on and off for him, the former RCB skipper made his last IPL century in 2019. The wait of the last 4 years finally came to an end when Virat Kohli reached a 3-figure score in the RCB vs SRH game. His innings included 12 fours and 4 sixes. It is a well-known fact that as compared to others in the team, Kohli is not much of a big hitter. However, the former RCB skipper surprised everyone when he hit a 103m six.

That is my biggest six this season: Virat Kohli
It was during the 9th over of the match when Nitish Kumar, the debutant came into the attack. Virat Kohli pulled the ball over deep midwicket and it reached a distance of 103m. In a video shared by RCB’s social media page, Virat Kohli is seen reacting to his 6 in the dressing room. “103m, I am taking that with me. Why are you surprised with that? That is my biggest six this season so I will take it anyways. I almost hit a wide for a six in the end, almost went for six,” he said.
Glenn Maxwell added his appreciation for Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis, describing their performance against SRH as something the team is accustomed to. Sanjay Bangar, the head coach of the RCB, added that Kohli’s game-winning innings will put to rest many of the naysayers who have voiced concerns about his strike-rate. “What a fabulous innings it was from Virat Kohli. The moment that he drive Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the first over itself, you knew that something special was brewing up and he just continued. Some of the shots that he played, he silenced a lot of critics, who say that he can’t hit the big shots,” Sanjay Bangar said.
