Rishabh Pant Pens Down Heartfelt Message for Fans First Time Since His Accident
The 25-year-old wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant was severely injured during an accident in December. Rishabh Pant was driving from Delhi to Uttarakhand when early in the morning the accident took place. Two heroes Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar were present at the time of the accident. The two guys quickly helped Rishabh Pant get out of the car and helped him reach the hospital.
Rishabh Pant suffered multiple injuries while miraculously escaping the horrifying accident. Right after the accident, he was rushed to the hospital in Uttarakhand where primary treatment was done. Soon BCCI made sure that the player received the best treatment and hence was shifted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital in Mumbai. For the first time since the incident, Rishabh Pant finally posted an update on social media thanking BCCI, his fans, and the two life saviors.

Rishabh Pant added that he will be “forever grateful and indebted” to the two individuals for their helpfulness and goodwill. The young wicket-keeper batsman had a rather bittersweet 2022. While his T20 game was below average, he performed well for India in the longer formats. The player unfortunately had to be benched when the men in blue were thinking of Dinesh Karthik as the finisher for T20 World Cup.
Moreover, Pant was dropped from the ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka. There were divided opinions on the player being dropped. The men in blue will miss Pant specifically in the Border-Gavaskar trophy and then the World Test Championship finals. Nonetheless, Pant’s update on his recovery has come as a breath of fresh air for the fans who were waiting to hear from him. While there’s no official confirmation on when Rishabh Pant will be back it is possible that he might miss a major chunk of the 2023 cricket season.
