Shakib Al Hasan to miss home T20Is against Pakistan
Ace Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match T20I series against Pakistan. Shakib had picked up a hamstring injury in the 20-20 World Cup match against West Indies and missed the remaining games of the 20-20 World Cup. This is a big blow to Bangladesh who rely a lot on Shakib. The southpaw, however, is likely to return for the Test series that will follow the T20Is. Here’s the complete list of IPL betting sites.
“Shakib will take at least three weeks to recover and get back to the field. He might be able to play the Test series,” Bangladesh Cricket Board’s chief physician Debashish Chowdhury was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz
Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan, who too missed the last three games for Bangladesh owing to abdominal pain is likely to back for the T20Is.
The T20I series will start from November 19, with the second and third T20I to be played on November 20 and November 22. The Test series will start on November 26, while the final Test will be played from December 4-8.
Bangladesh had a poor outing in the 20-20 World Cup and lost all their Super 12. Pakistan, on the other hand, are on a roll and have qualified for the semifinals without losing a single game so far.
However, Bangladesh has been very impressive on home soil of late and picked up wins over Australia and New Zealand.
