Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday, March 13, confirmed that injuries will keep Mulder and Maharaj on the sidelines. The board also announced that Parnell and Shamsi had been added to the ODI squad ahead of the ODI series against the West Indies.

Mulder experienced slight discomfort during the recently concluded second test against the West Indies at the Wanderers Stadium and subsequent scans revealed a grade one side strain. The Lions all-rounder also suffered a finger injury while batting at the Bullring and did not initially take the field at the start of the Windies’ second innings.
