However, the moment of the game came in the second over of the first inning, when Joel Paris was bowling. The pacer conceded 16 runs on the third ball of the over. After hearing about it, it appears impossible, but it happened in the game.
Paris bowled a front-foot no-ball on the third ball of the over. Smith hit that ball for a six over the leg side. The next ball was free-hit, and the bowler bowled a wide on the leg side, and the keeper couldn’t stop the ball because it was too wide. The ball went for a boundary, and it was five extra runs for the Sydney Sixers.
Then, on the following ball, which was a free-hit, Smith scored a four to make it 16 runs off one legal delivery. That was the moment when Smith picked up the pace, and then he went totally berserk.
